I enjoy interviewing entrepreneurs, finding out what they do, and then sharing that information. It's satisfying to follow stats on the articles and see client sites climb in the search engine rankings.
The internet today reminds me of what I did in the early part of my career--writing and voicing a series of radio spots in the nonprofit sector, producing giveaways, and watching the phones ring with requests for what we offered.
The Internet offers more lasting results -- articles may take 3 months to 6 months to get picked up in searches but then the activity can last for at least a few years.
Writing has been a foundation of my career starting with internships at radio stations in Pittsburgh, my first news radio job in State College, PA, and then writing and media-related projects in the non-profit world.
I'm well aware of how company goals and creative ideas should intersect. To develop my own management skills, I earned a Master's degree in Communications Management from the University of Southern California's Annenberg School of Communication.
